whereIstand.com is a new, opinion aggregator Web site that people can use to express, find or compare opinions on issues that are important to them in topics such as politics, sports, health, arts & entertainment and technology.

whereIstand.com is a resource where visitors can see the opinions of public figures, organizations and site members on issues. A visitor can then find out how they compare with each other in an organized and objective structure. A step further, whereIstand.com allows people to filter their search results by group or affiliation.

From a user generated/news gathering perspective, whereIstand.com takes a hybrid approach. When an issue is submitted, it is reviewed by editors on staff and by members of the community for accuracy. The news process on the site becomes collaborative -- members become bloggers, editors and researchers who work together with site editors to present content and debate it.

whereIstand.com also boasts a vibrant social networking community

Wind Energy Corp develops and manufactures wind power systems and solutions that can be used to power retail, industrial, government and community wind applications. Their system is unique because it can power a facility at the point of use and does not require tie-in to a grid system.

The innovative engineering of the turbines and their unique sail-like design provide many advantages over other wind energy systems:

  • The robust, scalable system can both be easily integrated into customers' existing operations and built into new buildings
  • Their vertical-axis, helix-like design means there is no anticipated danger for bats and birds
  • Their micro-wind design, for both high- and low-wind environments, will enable applications and sites never before considered - including urban environments
  • The fact that they are "distributive" - that they don't require tie-in to a national or regional power grid through traditional transmission lines and rather send their power directly to the point
